IRON PROJECT MEETING on
"New Directions in Atomic Data Production for
Fusion and Astrophysical Plasmas"
Université de Mons-Hainaut (UMH),
Mons (Belgium)
August 2-4, 2007
In honour of Prof. Michael J. Seaton,
founder of the Opacity Project and the Iron Project.
Theme
This summer meeting will be focussed on new
directions to take following the new needs of the data users.
What are the current and future atomic data needs? What are the best
tools to produce them?
What is the best way to distribute them? are
the questions that this meeting will address.

Meeting location
The meeting will be held at Salle des Conseils
in the Grands Amphitheatres building
("Grands AMPHI" in the map below)
located in the Campus des Sciences et de la Medecine.
How to get there
Fly to Brussels National Airport (BRU).
From the airport, take the train (Brussels Airport Express) to Mons.
Train timetables are available in the SNCB/NMBS website .
From this website, fill out the "From" field with "Bruxelles-Nat-Airport"
and the "To" field with "Mons" to get the timetables for your train and
you can also buy your ticket online.
Below, you can find the city map with the location of the station and the
3 recommanded hotels (Ibis, Infotel and Best Western Lido) in red.
Mons is a small city and everything is in walking distance. For instance,
it takes a ~20 minutes walk to get to the Campus des Sciences et de la Medecine
from the station.
